ROUTE T31
NEW ADDINGTON - FORESTDALE
The T31 is a Tramlink feeder service, and started operations in late 2000, shortly after Tramlink itself started. The T31 has never had its route changed in its short lifetime.
The T31, being only 2 miles long, was a cheap investment for First who began operating the route. They were also awarded the T32. The frequency for this short route was every 7 minutes, which came as a shock as it was one of the most frequent bus routes in the South East London area. First London lost the contract of the feeder route to Arriva South London, who began operations in May 2007, and continue to operate it to this day. TfL will withdraw the T31 later this year, and replace it with the 353 being extended from Addington Village to Forestdale, via the existing route. The section between Addington Village and New Addington will be replaced by diverted existing routes in the area.
