KINGSTON HOSPITAL - MANSFIELD PARK
IntroductionThe K4 (Kingston-Mansfield Estate & Winey Park) was devised, and began service in late 1989. It used Optare MetroRiders branded in the Kingston hoppa livery. The route was worked out of Kingston garage for a number of years until 2001, upon where it was tendered with London United from the new Tolworth garage following the closure and demolition of Kingston depot. The route had already begun to use new MPDs since 2000. The new low-floor buses were introduced in 2001. These were numbered DPK61*, and measured 8.8m in length. The route since gained refurbished cast off's from the K1 in 2013.
