ROUTE 383
BARNET - WOODSIDE PARK
The 383 is a bus route in North London which currently runs between Barnet, The Spires and Woodside Park Station. Its first day of operation was on the 25th of July 1998, running between Potters Bar and New Barnet as a partial replacement for the 326. The route was first operated by Dennis Dart/ Marshall C39’s from Potters Bar garage under Metroline. In May 1999, the route had its southern end extended to serve Woodside Park from New Barnet. This was done so that a route could serve Woodside and Oakleigh Park. When the route was retendered for the 1st time in 2003, it was awarded to Sullivan Buses. It operated from their South Mimms base from July of that year, but had also had the section between Potters Bar and Barnet cut. This section is served today by the 84 & 84A. Upon the next tender, it returned to its home at Potters Bar in 2008, using Enviro 200’s. The next tender however was a shock for everyone. UNO had successfully tendered their 1st London bus route. They began operation on the 383 on the 25th July 2015 |
